CDC Issues Dengue Fever Health Alert- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have issued a health alert due to an unexpected surge in dengue fever cases across the U.S. 

At least 13 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Palm Beach County, all travel-related according to health officials.

Nationwide Spike in Dengue Fever Cases - A total of 2,241 dengue fever cases have been reported in the U.S. this year, with most cases being travel-related.

High Dengue Cases in Puerto Rico and Florida- Puerto Rico declared a public health emergency with nearly 1,500 cases, and Florida, particularly Miami-Dade County, has the most reported cases in the continental U.S.

How to Protect Yourself from Dengue- Use insect repellent, wear long-sleeved clothing, and eliminate standing water around your home to reduce mosquito breeding sites.
